The purpose of this statement is to outline the privacy standards utilized by Priority Medical for the collection, use, retention and safeguarding of non-public personal information.

We treat all information in a confidential manner.  We do not sell consumer information.  We afford prospective patients as well as former patients the same protection as existing patients with respect to the use of their personal information.  Our employees are required to protect the confidentiality of information.  Employees may access information only when there is an appropriate reason to do so.  We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect information.

Why we collect and how we use information.

We collect and use information for business purposes with respect to our medical equipment business and you.  All non-public, personal information collected and maintained by us is used for specific business purposes enabling us to contact your doctor, check your insurance benefits, follow up on insurance claims, ensure proper billing and follow up on your care.

How we collect information.

1. We get most of the information from your doctor via phone order or fax order.
2. Information from yourself, the patient.
3. Information from your insurance company whether it is workers compensation, auto, private insurance or a third party administrator.
4. Information you provide over our website.

We do not disclose any non-public personal information about our patients or former patients with anyone except as permitted by law.  We may disclose information when we believe it is necessary for the conduct of our business.
